This book provides a large collection of popular polkas, old and new, arranged so that they sound like polkas. They are easily playable by students in books THREE and FOUR of the PALMER-HUGHES ACCORDION COURSE, and yet are adequate for use by the professional accordionist. The selections are arranged in approximate order of difficulty. The pieces from page 2 to 23 are written in "ALLA BREVE" time ( e or so-called "cut time" ), so that they may be more easily played by those students who have not yet had experience with 4 time. Most of the selections after page 23 are in 4 time, and should be played only by students who have finished "LET'S DANCE THE POLKA" in PALMER-HUGHES BOOK 3 or PREP BOOK 3B. We sincerely bel ieve that this book will provide many hours of fun and entertainment for the accordion student and the professional accordionist alike.
