Dennis Alexander (born 1947) is an American composer, pianist and teacher. His compositions, characterized by their melodic inventiveness and pedagogical sophistication, have been popular with students and teachers around the world. For 24 years, he was a professor of piano and piano pedagogy at the University of Montana. After retirement, he devoted himself exclusively to composing and performing. He is the author of over 400 piano compositions and teaching titles that stand out for their musical appeal and pedagogy. Alexander masterfully combines accessibility with musical depth in his works, motivating students to discover the beauty of music and develop their technical and performance skills.
