The Essence of the Blues provides intermediate to advanced musicians with ten great etudes in which they learn to play step-by-step the basics of various blues styles, including examples of improvisation. For each piece, you'll find an introduction explaining what makes it special, which blues masters played it this way, how to play the etude correctly, suggestions for improvisation, and other interesting information. At the end of the publication is a general introduction to the blues style of music, a brief introduction to how music theory views the blues, a blues glossary, and several exercises, examples, and suggestions.
The publication includes a website and a unique code that allows you to download recordings of all the songs from that site in two versions, a full (demo) version and just a great "live" accompaniment for your playing with the downloaded recording.
