“Take Three” is a collection of fourteen short original compositions by Belgian composer Johan Nijs, written for three wind instruments with flexible instrumentation. The books in this series have been published for flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, and trumpet, and all of these instruments can be combined with each other to create a chamber wind ensemble from the instruments you have available.
Each piece has its own character and style—from lyrical pieces to rhythmically lively passages—and develops important aspects of chamber music playing, such as intonation, rhythmic precision, and ensemble playing. The set includes the score and all parts.
