Product description
Composed in 1849, Schumann's most productive year, the Stuecke im Volkston Op. 102 are Schumann's only surviving original work for cello and piano. The first text-critical edition of these brilliant character pieces is based on the first edition of 1851 and on the autograph. It features an extensive preface detailing the history of the origin and reception of the work.
Robert Schumann (1810 - 1856) was a German composer and music critic. He is one of the most prominent representatives of Romanticism. He composed mainly piano music, but his work is very extensive. He has composed at least 183 songs, 4 symphonies, many instrumental concerts, a number of song cycles, cantatas, oratorios, choirs and a number of excellent chamber works.
