Product description

Long popular with audiences and performers alike, the Schumann concerto is felt by many to be one of the greatest concerted piano works. In the words of noted authority Maurice Hinson, Schumann “succeeded in a magnificent manner by composing what is probably the most beautiful of Romantic concertos....This flawless masterpiece is one of the most outstanding and romantically inspired concertos in the repertoire.” Integrating the piano and orchestra in an unprecedented manner, it embodies the melodic grace and fine tonal texture so characteristic of one of the great composers of all time.

This pack includes a 96-page printed music book and audio tracks containing a complete version with soloist, followed by a second version of the orchestral accompaniment, minus the soloist for practice purposes. The audio is accessed online using the unique code inside each book and can be streamed or downloaded. The audio files include PLAYBACK+, a multi-functional audio player that allows you to slow down audio without changing pitch, set loop points, change keys, and pan left or right.

Robert Schumann (1810 - 1856) was a German composer and music critic. He is one of the most prominent representatives of Romanticism. He composed mainly piano music, but his work is very extensive. He has composed at least 183 songs, 4 symphonies, many instrumental concerts, a number of song cycles, cantatas, oratorios, choirs and a number of excellent chamber works.
