Franz Xaver Richter (1709 – 1789) – czech music composer, violinist and vocal teacher and singer. He studied music in Vien and Italy and lived his whole active music life abroad in fact. In 1769 he found job as a bandmaster in Notre-Damm cathedral in Strassburg, where he stayed till the end of his life.
