The textbook is intended for children from 5 to 6 years old. The material is divided into four chapters.
• The first contains duets for the student and the teacher developed using the sheet music method and simple compositions to be played from the sheet music. Many of the compositions are songs, the simple lyrics of which serve to familiarize the student with new topics and facilitate their memorization.
• The second is dedicated to teaching legato playing and practicing the independence of the hands, with the introduction of two-part and three-part parts.
• The third is a collection of recapitulation compositions in which previously introduced techniques appear in a more advanced form.
• The fourth is a selection of didactic miniatures by composers of different periods.
Most of the compositions included in the publication were composed by the author of the textbook. She significantly varied them (waltzes, marches, polkas or lullabies) and supplemented the pieces with beautiful illustrated pictures that easily stimulate children's imaginations. Many of the songs have subtly dissonant harmonies. The textbook uses the working method, where the child plays in a duo with the teacher, and there are also exercises and improvisations. The textbook is written in three languages – Polish, German and English.
