Lady Gaga (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) (born 1986) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and fashion icon who has become one of the most prominent figures in contemporary pop music. She is known not only for her exceptional vocal range and ability to change musical styles—from dance-pop to jazz to rock and country—but also for her extravagant visual presentation and daring fashion creations. During her career, she has released a number of successful albums and won numerous awards, including several Grammys. In addition to music, she has also made a name for herself as an actress and won an Oscar for Best Original Song for “Shallow” for her role in the film A Star Is Born (2018).
