Product description

"The title of the composition "A Bunch of Maple Leaves" is based on the fact that the bassoon, this beautiful woodwind instrument, is indeed a kind of bundle of maple wood - of course very skillfully hand-crafted and prepared for musical usege. The piece was written in 1989, originally for my son, who learnt how to play bassoon then  and who also premiered it in 1989 at a music school concert in Voršilská Street in Prague. Simple melodic forms are used in the composition that grow from natural (basic) possibilities of the instrument.  The composition does not pretend anything in terms of its content - it is mere a recital etude for beginning bassoon players."
