This five-part duet for glockenspiel and guitar is another addition to chamber compositions with less usual instrument combinations. Each of the five parts has a different character, concerning both rhythmic form and style. Two mallets are enough for glockenspiel play. Both glockenspiel and guitar parts are technically intended for intermediate players.
Libor Kubánek is a Czech percussionist, composer and percussion teacher. He graduated from the Prague Conservatory of Music in 1985. Since 1991 he has been a member of the Prague State Opera Orchestra and has been teaching since 1992.
