"Zivot je jen nahoda" (Life's Just a Chance) is one of Jaroslav Ježek's best-known and most popular songs. Now we bring you this Czech evergreen in a delightful instrumental arrangement for jazz orchestra, as written and performed by Karel Krautgartner and his orchestra.
The set includes the score with all parts.

Jaroslav Ježek (1906-1942) was a Czech composer, pianist, improviser and conductor, author of dance, theatre, film and classical music. He is considered a pioneer of jazz music in Czechoslovakia. He is known as the "third" in the author duo Voskovec and Werich, and the author of most of the well-known and still popular songs of the their Osvobozene divadlo theatre.

Karel Krautgartner (1922–1982) was a Czech clarinetist, saxophonist, composer, and conductor. He was one of the most important figures in Czechoslovak dance and jazz music in the 1950s and 1960s. After the occupation in 1968, he emigrated to Austria and later to Germany, where he continued his successful career as a musician and conductor in both countries.
