Jaroslav Ježek (1906-1942) was a famous Czech composer, pianist, improviser and conductor, author of dance, theater, film and classical music. He is considered to be one of the first jazz musicians in Czechoslovakia. The song Bugatti Step was inspired by the Bugatti car in which famous Monaco racer Louis Chiron won first prize in Brno at the Grand Prix of Czechoslovakia in 1931. Bugatti Step was composed the same year as a prelude to Don Juan & Comp play. This piece amazes not only performers, but also audience with it’s dancing character, brevity and yet wonderful virtuosity. This piano foxtrot is to this day the most popular and the most played piece from this author.
Jaroslav Ježek (1906-1942) was a Czech composer, pianist, improviser and conductor, author of dance, theatre, film and classical music. He is considered a pioneer of jazz music in Czechoslovakia. He is known as the "third" in the author duo Voskovec and Werich, and the author of most of the well-known and still popular songs of the their Osvobozene divadlo theatre.
Marek Iglo (*1968) is a Czech composer, arranger and teacher, son of the composer Milan Iglo (*1933). In years 1986-1991 he studied piano at prof. Eva Bogunia and composing at Ilja Hurník and Bohumil Řehoř at the Prague Conservatoire. He graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Hradec Králové in the field of Education at Primary Music Schools. In addition to pedagogical activities, he also works on composing and arranging pieces, mostly for children. He is currently teaching at the Music School of the R. A. Dvorský in Dvůr Králové nad Labem.
