Product description

The three chamber suites included in the two volumes of the publication entitled The Accordion and Its Musical Friends respond to the long-standing need for original chamber literature for the accordion and other instruments taught at music schools and conservatories (the flute (alto recorder), clarinet (trumpet, tenor saxophone), horn, violin, cello (double bass, trombone)).  They can be played as a whole or as separate compositions in various combinations of instruments according to the experience of the young performers. The suites are intended for dramatic use in concerts and performance competitions.
The first volume contains two suites:
● The Fairy Tale Suite is composed for pupils of the lower grades of elementary art schools. The accordion part in its range and register assumes a small instrument with standard basses. The parts of the other instruments are based on a smaller melodic range, and the string instruments use empty strings and first position to make the suite accessible to beginning musicians.
● The Knight Suite is composed for upper elementary school students. The accordion part in its range and register assumes a larger instrument with standard basses. The parts of the other instruments are more demanding and require more extensive performance experience.
