Solo guitar arrangements of classical works are often so complex that they exceed the capabilities of most guitarists. Fabian Payr’s Duets for Classical Guitar avoids this pitfall by sharing the original work between two guitars. In so doing, famous compositions—from stylistically varied periods and for a range of original instrumentations—are in some cases accessible to guitarists for the first time. The collection also includes well-known pieces from the demanding solo guitar repertoire that can be worked on by less advanced players thanks to this sharing approach.
