Product description
In 1821 the C.F. Peters publishing house published "Three Duos for two clarinets" as Op.6 by B.H. Crusell. The piece "Andante und Allegro Vivace" is the second and third movements of duet no.3 from op.6. The composition is brought to you in an arrangement for two clarinets and piano, but can be performed either as a clarinet duet without piano accompaniment or as a small chamber ensemble with piano accompaniment.
Bernhard Henrik Crusell (1775 - 1838) was a Finnish-Swedish clarinettist, conductor and composer who was born in Uusikaupunki, Finland, which was then part of Sweden. For many years he was principal clarinet of the Royal Court Orchestra in Stockholm and also frequently performed as a soloist and chamber musician. Crusell composed concertos for clarinet and other wind instruments, chamber music, music for military orchestras, as well as vocal music and other compositions.
