Product description

This piece came about at a time when Piazzolla understood the tango as absolute music based on its own melodic, harmonic and above all, rhythmically characterizing qualities.

Astor Pantaleón Piazzolla (1921-1992) was an Argentine "tango" composer who created a new style of tango music called NUEVO TANGO, adding to tango the basic elements of jazz and classical music. Piazzolla is often referred to as the most important and greatest "tango" composer of the second half of the 20th century.
