Elton Hercules John (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1974) is a British singer, pianist and songwriter. His music is praised by critics and musicians for its lasting influence on the music industry. His long-standing songwriting partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin (*1950) is one of the most successful in music history.
