Opis produktu

„I often find my mind wandering back to inspirational stories of long ago. In composing, these echoes of the past have necessitated the use of a strange, mysterious instrumental colour that reminds me of the reverberation of time. When you press a key on the piano without it hitting a string and with your other hand you strike another key nearby, unexpected tones will be heard. We call them overtones. This effect cannot be achieved on digital instruments, but only on real pianos, grand pianos or upright pianos. In musical notation, notes with square-shaped heads are used for the silent key presses.
The pieces presented here were written for my students, friends and loved ones. If any of them catch your attention, feel free to look up the story behind the title. Encoded in the pieces is a heartbeat that is still the same as in times past and sometimes they sound inspirational, sometimes sad, but always with a  feeling of gratitude for the beauty of the world.
I wish you the joy of making music.“   Petr Hanousek
