Opis produktu

The final book in this three-volume series brings you a selection of attractive piano exercises to develop pianists' technique and musicality. The etudes in the publication have also been supplemented with several piano exercises by Stephen Heller and are divided into four chapters, each of which focuses on mastering a particular technical skill. The book also includes information on the life and work of each composer, and each etude is preceded by tips and recommendations on how to practice and play it correctly.

Stephen Heller (1813-1888) was a Hungarian concert pianist, composer and teacher who spent the last 25 years of his life in Paris. He outlived his reputation and died almost forgotten. Heller composed almost exclusively for the piano. Today, the most famous of his compositions are piano etudes and technical exercises.

Johann Friedrich Burgmüller (1806-1874) was a German pianist, conductor and composer of the Romantic period. His light and intimate musical style was very popular in his time. Today he is best known for his piano etudes, among the best known are Op. 100, Op. 105 and Op. 109.

Carl Czerny (1791-1857) was an Austrian pianist, composer and teacher of Czech origin. Today he is known mainly for his etudes and finger exercises for piano.

Charles-Louis Hanon (1819-1900) was a French piano teacher and composer. His best known work is a collection of piano exercises "The Virtuoso Pianist", which is still used in modern piano teaching today.
