Astor Pantaleón Piazzolla (1921-1992) był argentyńskim kompozytorem „tanga”, który stworzył nowy styl muzyki tango zwany NUEVO TANGO, dodając do tanga podstawowe elementy jazzu i muzyki klasycznej.
