Čechomor is a Czech music ensemble founded in the spring of 1988, originally as a free association of musicians playing shopkeeper's songs called the Českomoravská nezávislá hudební společnost. After the release of the third album called Čechomor in 2000, the name of the ensemble was also shortened to Čechomor. The band plays Czech, Moravian and Slovak folk songs in their original concept. During their existence, they traveled throughout Europe, North America and Russia and collaborated with many important artists.
