Product description

SMILE is a song written by the king of comedians Charlie Chaplin in 1936 for his silent film Modern Times. In 1954, John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added lyrics to this beautiful and already very popular tune, and since then, countless famous artists from around the world have included the song in their repertoire.
Arranged by Roger Emerson, “Smile” is a timeless classic arranged especially for treble choirs and developing mixed voice choirs. The chords are lush and sing easily with an emphasis on phrasing and line. Students and audiences alike will appreciate this beautiful arrangement.

Charlie Chaplin, real name Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin (1889 – 1977) was a British actor, director, screenwriter and composer. He was one of the world's most famous filmmakers of the 20th century. He was the main creator of his tragicomic films, which he mostly created himself from the themes to the script, direction, and sometimes also composed the music for them. Above all, however, he acted in them in leading roles, and in the silent film period as a tramp with a cane and bowler hat.
