Paul McCartney (*1942) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and producer who became famous as the lead singer and bassist of The Beatles. In collaboration with John Lennon, they became one of the most successful songwriting teams in the history of popular music. After The Beatles broke up in 1970, he embarked on a solo career. McCartney is one of the most successful songwriters and performers of all time.
