Berlin, Irving

Irving Berlin (1888 - 1989) was an American composer and lyricist, he was one of America's most prolific songwriters and also one of the few writers who wrote both music and lyrics for his songs. American LIFE magazine listed him as one of the 100 most important people in the United States in the 20th century.
