Product description
R.A. Swing is a lively, melodic and above all swinging piece for two pianos and eight hands. Composer Marek Iglo wrote this piece in memory of Czech composer, bandleader, pianist and singer R.A. Dvorský (1899-1966), who is often referred to as the king of Czech dance music.
The set includes the score plus two separate parts for first and second piano. The publication includes a link to a web address that allows you to download an mp3 recording of the piece to your computer to get an idea of what the piece sounds like. The recording was made from the notation program in which the pieces were written.
Marek Iglo (*1968) is a Czech composer, arranger and teacher, son of the composer Milan Iglo (*1933). In years 1986-1991 he studied piano at prof. Eva Bogunia and composing at Ilja Hurník and Bohumil Řehoř at the Prague Conservatoire. He graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Hradec Králové in the field of Education at Primary Music Schools. In addition to pedagogical activities, he also works on composing and arranging pieces, mostly for children. He is currently teaching at the Music School of the R. A. Dvorský in Dvůr Králové nad Labem.
