Six Duettins for Two Flutes was originally published by André in Mainz under the title Six duettini pour deux flutes extrais des oevres by F. Krommer. As the name suggests, it was a modification of violin duets for two flutes. Ladislav Daniel (1922-2015), a well-known music teacher and great popularizer of the recorder, adapted this edition for two recorders (two violins or two clarinets).
The workbook also includes a pull-out part with a second line for alto recorder.
