Double Bass Etudes brings you in an abbreviated and reworked form a selection of etudes of "classics of double bass pedagogical literature". The publication is divided into two chapters.
The first chapter (etudes no. 1 - 36) is intended for pupils and students who have already become acquainted with the basic technique of playing in the range of basic positions and helps them to consolidate their existing playing skills.
The second chapter (etudes no. 37 - 58) is intended for more advanced pupils and students after an introductory acquaintance with thumb positions for their more thorough practice and connection with basic positions.
The etudes were selected and prepared for you by two excellent double bass players and teachers, Jan Balcar (* 1946) and his son Ondřej Balcar (* 1971).
