Product description

Erroll was born in Pittsburg in 1921. He came from a musical family which included his brother Linton, one of the better accompanists. This book contains various exemples of the Garner style, some of which have never been recorded commercially. This book will remain a written record of Garner's greatness and will help other pianists learn the color which he, and only he, has contributed to piano playing.

Erroll Louis Garner (1921–1977) was American jazz pianist and composer who was one of the most famous and successful jazz musicians in the world during his lifetime. Erroll Garner was self-taught, he started playing the piano at the age of three and had his first professional performance at the age of seven. Over the course of his career, he developed an original and unmistakable piano style.
