Vladimír Kovář (*1950) is a Czech violinist and violin maker. He studied violin at the conservatory in Kroměříž and at the JAMU in Brno. In 1972, while studying at the JAMU, he founded the Trávníček Quartet, which soon achieved a number of important successes. He played in it as a first violinist until 1988. After that, he played as a violist of the Kyncl Quartet and as a first violinist of the Spielberg Quartet. After finishing his concert activity, he devoted himself professionally to his long-standing hobby - violin making.
