In her song "All About That Bass", US singer Meghan Trainor mixed influences from the polyphonic doo-wop singing style of the 1950s and 1960s with elements of rhythm & blues, hip-hop and country. "All About That Bass" sounds like an old rock 'n' roll classic and yet is a current pop hit - a great way to dust off old rock 'n' roll guitar riffs! Guitar 1 and 2 alternate in the melody line, guitar 3 has an accompanying function and the concise bass riff ("All About That Bass") remains on guitar 4 throughout the piece and forms the basis for the arrangement.
