Product description
"Happy" is a modern soul-funk number with a blue-note-heavy, heavily syncopated melody. In the verse (part A), the melody (Pharrell's falsetto-like soul voice) is played by the 1st guitar, in the chorus (part B) by the 3rd guitar. The bridge (part C) is mainly percussive in the original (with hand claps), in this arrangement ghost notes and guitar percussion are used.
Pharrell Williams (* 1973) is an American singer, rapper, producer, songwriter and founder of Star Trak Records. He holds ten Grammy Awards. Together with Chad Hugh, they founded the successful production duo The Neptunes, he is also the leader of the rock band N.E.R.D. During his time on the music scene, he managed to collaborate with stars such as Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey.
