Product description
The series “a tre” contains easy pieces for three identical instruments. It is designed for players with little experience on their instrument but who take much pleasure in music-making. This is enhanced by the fact that the parts are equivalent in importance. This series forms an ideal supplement to the currently standard tutors, whether in individual or group instruction or just for fun.
Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) was a French composer, organist and teacher. He was a sought-after teacher and inspector at provincial conservatories. He became a leading figure in Parisian social life and travelled widely. In 1896 he accepted a position as organist at the Temple of Madeleine and as teacher of composition at the Paris Conservatoire, where Maurice Ravel became his student. Gabriel Fauré composed until his death in 1924. His Requiem was played at his funeral in the church.
