A splendid collection of pieces by Romantic French composer, Gabriel Faure that demonstrates his wonderful gift for imaginitive and beautiful melodies. Ten terrific arrangements, by Trevor Wye for two Flutes and Piano accompaniment. There is a wide range of music here with some of Faure's best-loved pieces, including Pavane, Sicilienne and Cantique De Jean Racine arranged for two flutes and piano.

Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) was a French composer, organist and teacher. He was a sought-after teacher and inspector at provincial conservatories. He became a leading figure in Parisian social life and travelled widely. In 1896 he accepted a position as organist at the Temple of Madeleine and as teacher of composition at the Paris Conservatoire, where Maurice Ravel became his student. Gabriel Fauré composed until his death in 1924. His Requiem was played at his funeral in the church.
