Product description
Franz Wohlfahrt´s etudes are still a very useful mean for improving your basic violin technique. They belong to the most popular literature of violin pedagogues. In this edition there are newly added some excercises regarding the intonation and fingering. Other excercises will help to master the etude as a whole. The first, slower etudes are recommended to be played in a slower time and are completed with many different tips on how to practise them. The second part of the etudes focuses on practising in the first three positions.
Franz Wohlfahrt (1833 - 1884) was a German Romantic composer and teacher of violin and viola. He was the son of piano teacher Heinrich Wohlfahrt. His best-known work is "60 Etudes for Violin, Op. 45", which is still often used to teach stringed instruments.
