Product description

The publication "Compositions for Recorder Quartet II" brings you 11 miniatures of classical music for four recorders (SATB). Three compositions were written by Leopold Mozart, two by Joseph Haydn, one by Ludwig van Beethoven, and the Telemanniana suite (four movements) was written by Stanislav Jelínek.
The publication contains the score plus separately inserted parts for recorders.

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827) was a German composer and pianist, a period of transition from musical classicism to romanticism. He is one of the most admired composers in history and his compositions are among the most played in the repertoire of classical music. Beethoven's work includes 9 symphonies, 32 piano sonatas, 5 piano concertos, 10 sonatas for piano and violin, countless string quartets, vocal and theatrical music and many other small compositions.

Franz Joseph Haydn (1732–1809) was an Austrian composer and one of the leading composers of the classical period, sometimes referred to as the "father of the symphony". Although Haydn did not invent a modern symphony, in his hands this form reached its rightful place thanks to his constant search for new methods of expression and his exceptional talent for melodic line and harmony. Haydn was popular among his peers mainly for his kindness and optimism. He excelled in his sense of humor, and his love of joking is often evident in his music. Haydn's work is stunning and numbers up to 2,000 works.

Johann Georg Leopold Mozart (1719 - 1787) was a composer, violinist and music teacher. He was the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Leopold Mozart wrote many works, and today he is believed to have been responsible for more than 250 compositions, including 70 symphonies. His most important work, which influenced generations of musicians, is his violin school "Versuch einer gründlichen Violinschule", which made Leopold famous throughout musical Europe.
