Product description

Jazz Combo Pack – excellent serie of sets of four songs for small jazz ensembles. It contains CD where all the tracks of the set are recorded on two channels – the left channel contains rhythmic accompaniment only and the right channel contains solo jazz combo section. You can not only listen how the arrangement sounds but also use the CD for solo and rhythmic section practice individually or use the rhythmic section individually as an accompaniment for your jazz ensemble. All the songs are arranged with a space for your improvisation, this part of the song is always filled with chord marks and help notes (grades where the improvisation should take a place) to simplify your improvisation. Every set contains concerted parts for all the instruments - 2x piano/conductor, 1x Bb instrument (trio), 1x Eb Instrument (trio), 1x C Instrument (trio – sometimes it is 2+3 or only 3 part is written in bass clef for trombone), 1x guitar, 1x bass, 1x drums. Outstanding and very variable book.

Richard Charles Rodgers (1902 - 1979) was an American composer who wrote mainly musicals. He wrote a total of 43 musicals and more than 900 songs for Broadway theatres. He is one of the most famous American composers of the 20th century and his compositions have had a significant influence on popular music. Rodgers is also known for his longtime songwriting partnership, first with lyricist Lorenz Hart and then with Oscar Hammerstein II. Rodgers was the first person to win all four of America's top awards in theater, film, recording and television - the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony - now collectively known as the EGOT.
