Jaroslav Ježek's favourite melodies, which he wrote for Voskovec and Werich and their Liberated Theatre, are now brought to you in an arrangement for five-string banjo. The sheet music of the songs is accompanied by tablature and chord markings. The songs feature beautiful melody, harmony and rhythm and are arranged primarily for solo banjo playing.

Jaroslav Ježek (1906-1942) was a Czech composer, pianist, improviser and conductor, author of dance, theatre, film and classical music. He is considered a pioneer of jazz music in Czechoslovakia. He is known as the "third" in the author duo Voskovec and Werich, and the author of most of the well-known and still popular songs of the their Osvobozene divadlo theatre.

Ondřej Šárek (*1979) is Czech composer and player of ukulele and other plucked instruments. He studied composition at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts and musicology at Masaryk University in Brno. Ondřej Šárek's compositional activity is very diverse. He composes music for chamber ensembles, symphony orchestras or choirs. He writes music for film, television, music for theatre productions, chansons and instrumental compositions. Except for composing he is devoted to playing the ukulele. He is also busy in pedagogy, teaches and has written the textbooks.
